WIHOFA donates food items to widows in FCT
Winners House Of Faith Assembly (WINOFA) Church donates food items to widows in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) of the country.
The Winners House of Faith Church has donated some food items to 400 widows in the FCT to support the government’s effort at alleviating the economic impact of COVID-19 on the needy on Sunday in Abuja.
Dr. Kufre Eyo who is the Senior Pastor for WIHOFA said the church gave to the widows because it was also the responsibility of the people of God to reach out to the less privileged who are struggling during and after the pandemic.
The Newsmen reports that the items distributed include rice, beans, noodles, onion, sweet potatoes, and cassava flakes(garri).
Eyo, who also used the occasion to mark his birthday, said what the church gave out may not solve the widows’ problems, but he believed God would replenish the gift.
He said that as representatives of Jesus Christ, people should follow the steps of goodwill laid down by Him.
The Senior Pastor, however, thanked the government for reopening worship centres and prayed to God to heal the land.
He pledged that all laid down guidelines by the government during the pandemic would be followed by the church.
Sister Angela Obi, a widow, and beneficiary expressed gratitude to the pastor, saying the church had also during the lockdown provided for the less privileged.
She prayed to God to bless all those who consider the plight of widows and the less privileged in the society.
Sekinat Suleiman, another beneficiary, who wished the pastor a happy birthday, also thanked the church for its gesture by remembering the needy.
