NGO donates food items to over 3000 households in Kaduna
Arida Relief Foundation, an NGO, said it had distributed palliative to over 3000 households in Kaduna to reduce the effect of the Coronavirus lockdown in the state.
President of the foundation, Mrs. Rabi Salisu told the News Agency of Nigeria on Monday that the distribution has been ongoing for the past five days to complement government efforts.
Salisu said that the Mararaba Jos area of the state was the first beneficiary with over 500 households, while 200 households at the NDC area equally benefited from the gesture.
According to her, other areas that benefited from the food assistance include, Jaji, which has lots of physically challenged people, Kawo, Hayin Banki, Badiko, and other across Kaduna.
She said that the foundation would extend the gesture to registered orphanage homes in the state since its objective was to cater to the needy and less privileged in the society.
NAN reports that some of the items distributed included Rice, Millet, Spaghetti, noodles, and Sugar
