Governor of Kaduna State, Senator Uba Sani has issued a directive to security agencies to conduct a comprehensive investigation into the tragic incident involving the killing of worshippers in a Mosque located in the Ikara Local Government Area of the state by bandits.
This directive was conveyed in an official statement by the Chief Press Secretary to the governor, Muhammad Shehu.
Governor Sani strongly condemned the heinous act, vowing to utilize all legal means available to bring the perpetrators of this atrocity in Ikara to justice.
“We understand the concerns and anxieties of the residents of Ikara, in particular and Kaduna State, in general. Your safety and security are our top priorities, and we want to reassure you that we are working tirelessly to maintain peace and stability.
“We encourage the public to remain calm and vigilant during this period. We also call upon all residents to cooperate with law enforcement agencies and provide any relevant information that could assist in the ongoing investigation,” the governor said.
He underscored his administration’s unwavering commitment to restoring peace and stability across every region of Kaduna State.
To demonstrate his dedication to addressing the situation, Governor Sani sent a delegation, led by Mr. Samuel Aruwan, the Overseer of the Ministry of Internal Security and Home Affairs (MISHA), to offer condolences to the community of Saya-Saya village in Ikara Local Government, where the tragic incident unfolded.
Additionally, the delegation will assess the security and humanitarian conditions in the area and provide recommendations to the government accordingly.
