Several prominent figures from the professional wrestling industry have taken to social media to comment on the outcome of the 2026 United States midterm elections, following significant Democratic victories across the country.

Among the notable developments was Democratic candidate James Talarico’s victory over Republican Ken Paxton in the Texas Senate race. The result attracted widespread attention, including reactions from personalities associated with WWE and TNA Wrestling.

WWE Hall of Famer JBL was among those who weighed in, using the election results to mock President Donald Trump’s previous promise that every American adult would receive $5,000 if Republicans secured victory. The pledge had attracted criticism from voters, some of whom questioned its credibility and compared it with previous financial promises they claimed had never been fulfilled.

Meanwhile, TNA wrestler Nic Nemeth joined the online conversation by sharing a popular scene from the animated television series The Simpsons. The image featured fictional extraterrestrials Kang and Kodos disguising themselves as politicians Bob Dole and Bill Clinton during an election campaign.

In the scene, Homer Simpson tells Marge, “Don’t blame me, I voted for Kodos” as the fictional characters take control and subject humanity to forced labour under President Kang.

Elsewhere, wrestling promoter Brett Lauderdale disclosed that he had asked deathmatch wrestler Nick Gage whether he participated in the election. According to Lauderdale’s social media post, Gage responded briefly, although no further details of their exchange were provided.

Former WWE personality Kayla Becker also expressed happiness over the election developments, joining several wrestling figures who publicly shared their reactions as results continued to emerge.

TNA Wrestling star AJ Francis, on his part, openly declared his support for Talarico’s campaign. However, he also expressed reservations about how Republicans might respond to the Democratic victories and the broader political developments.

Talarico’s triumph over Paxton marked a significant electoral development in Texas, with the Associated Press projecting the Democratic candidate as the winner of the closely watched Senate contest. The victory also ended a lengthy period without a Democratic statewide election victory in the traditionally Republican state.

The election reactions have also brought renewed attention to Trump’s response to electoral defeats. Following the 2020 presidential election, Trump refused to concede to Joe Biden and repeatedly alleged widespread voter fraud, claims for which he did not provide substantiated evidence.
