The Association of Nigerian Authors (ANA), Oyo State Chapter in Collaboration with Department of History, University of Ibadan and African Forum for Peace Initiatives (AFPIN) has today presented a Post-Humous award of Grand Commander of Peace to Late President Umaru Musa Yar’Adua.

This Post-Humous award is in recognition of his contributions to the Peace and Security of Nigeria.

The award was given during the launching of a book dedicated to the Late President, The Challenges of the Niger-Delta crisis.

The Katsina State PDP Chairman, Hon. Salisu Yusuf Majigiri represented and received the award on behalf of the H.E Late President Umaru Musa Yar’Adua GCFR Post-Humous which was presented at the 3rd All-Nigeria Writers Peace & Security Summit held at the University of Ibadan.

The award was presented by the Chief of Defence Staff ably represented by Director Civil-Military Relation, Defence Headquarters – Federal Republic of Nigeria; Major Gen. HPZ Vintenaba.

The Post-Humous award is in recognition of Amnesty Programme initiated by Late President Umaru Musa Yar’Adua, which brings Peace & Security to the Niger Delta region.
