The President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari has called off his scheduled visitation to Zamfara State slated for Thursday.

The state governor, Bello Mattawale, made the disclosure on Thursday, citing poor weather conditions.

According to Mattawale, Buhari would visit the state at a date which would be announced later.

Recall that, Buhari was to visit the state today to commensurate with the Government and people over the killings of innocent people by bandits.

He was also expected in Sokoto State later in the afternoon to inaugurate some projects but the trip would have to be scheduled for another time.

Meanwhile, the Zamfara government had provided adequate security to ensure a hitch-free visit.

Some roads and motor parks were said to have been shut for some hours in preparation for the visitation of the president.
