“The distribution of free grains was deliberately done to crash prices of food items and ease the burden of Nigerians due to the current economic situation. Rest assured, Governor Aiyedatiwa will do everything within his power to ensure Ondo State people enjoy the dividends of good governance and quick government’s interventions in their specific area of needs,” Adelami said.

Meanwhile, the Ondo State chapter of Poultry Farmers Association of Nigeria has announced a reduction in the price of eggs from N5,000 to N3,000 per crate following the distribution of 1,200 metric tonnes of grains and commodities as palliatives by Governor Aiyedatiwa in Akure.

Expressing gratitude for the intervention, Ondo State chairman of Poultry Farmers Association of Nigeria, Olawande Fadipe, stated, “We want to thank the President and Mr Governor for this kind gesture. Recently, poultry farmers have been finding it difficult to operate because of rising costs of animal feeds, and day-old chicken but with this intervention, we can go back to our businesses and make profits.”
