Terror alert: Buhari, security chiefs meet Monday

The President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd.), will access the country’s security network strength in an emergency security meeting with the security chiefs.
Monday’s meeting became necessary after foreign embassies issued a terror alert on the nation’s capital, Abuja.
Presidential aide, Garba Shehu via a series of tweets on Sunday evening, adding that the meeting is aimed at strengthening the security network across the country.
The tweets read: “President @MBuhari will on Monday meet with security chiefs in the nation’s capital, Abuja, to further review and strengthen security network in the country.
“The President, who was initially scheduled to commission the National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure’s new Technology and Innovation Complex, will receive briefs from the security chiefs, and interject on areas that need more attention.
“The commissioning of the NASENI complex will hold at a later date.”
This comes amid a terror alert in the country’s capital, Abuja.
Since the United States and the United Kingdom warned of a probable terrorist strike in the nation’s capital, there has been tangible tension in Abuja and its environs.
According to the notice, terrorists were targeting government installations, houses of worship, and schools, among other things.
Some government and private establishments have suspended operations due to the threat of an attack by the daredevil terrorists who have held the country captive for years.
