President Muhammadu Buhari on Wednesday, October 19, presided over the federal executive council meeting in Abuja, the federal capital.

The Nigerian leader, known for his high sense of humour – one of which is his ‘other room’ response to his wife’s recent interview with BBC – was smiling in a manner that suggested that he was amused during the meeting.

Since his return from the Germany, President Buhari has not spoken about Nigerians’ reactions to his speech, but the manner of his smile here shows that he may be up to one of his old jokes.

One of his aides, Shehu Garba, had said that Buhari smiled before making the comment about his wife belonging to ‘the kitchen, the living room and the other room’ and was only trying to crack people up with his response.

Whether or not Mr President is up to some of his old jokes at this moment remains a question many would love him to answer.
