IT’S A VERY IGNORANT STATEMENT! Twitter users criticize lady who said majority of Nigerians earn above N150.000
A Twitter user simply identified as Ezinne has said that an average Nigerian earns between N150.000 to 350.000 as monthly salary and have kids in good schools.
However, some Nigerians on Twitter are not finding her assertions funny and have been calling her out for her unsubstantiated claims.
Some also proved to her that a lot of Nigerians are impoverished and struggling with bills and plenty of expenses because of high cost of living.
Ezinne wrote on Twitter;
“Majority of Nigerians fall between 150-350k per month salary and they have kids in good schools, two cars and living in a comfortable flat.
“Plus have babies in America. I don’t know you guys saving culture but 700k a month is a senior managerial salary for the most part.”

— Shaddy (@eknudohs) July 17, 2018
Which Nigeria are you talking about please ? The one before Buhari became president or the present Nigeria where 90% of Nigerians are living in debt . 90% don’t earn up to 30k
— NINO DANGOTE (THE VIBE) (@ninodray_) July 17, 2018
Which version of Nigeria are you from biko?! In the Nigeria I know, majority actually earn below 100k as salary, have kids going to public or backyard schools, struggle to have even one good car and most likely live in a ‘face me I slap you’ building
— Temi OFR (@haryourbharmee) July 17, 2018
Majority? Even in Lagos not a majority who earn up to 150,000. You need to recalibrate the demography of your estimation.

In the Nigeria I am living in, if the residents were earning N150,000 – N350,000 then there will be no need to sell votes for N4,000. Rather the electorates would be charging upwards of N5,000,000.

Is there any other Nigeria apart from this one we are living in? Because I don’t understand this 130k-350k narrative..

By the time you fuel your 2 cars and gen (plus parts), pay for rent, security, water, NEPA, DSTV, internet, top-up cards, and buy one grilled fish and few bottles of Star, you’ll be lucky to have enough to send pics of your kids to America.

You must be living in an alternate universe!!! In which Nigeria does that happen?
— Zeeman (@zeeman4lifffe) July 17, 2018
Majority of private school teachers in Lagos earn #30,000 or less.
Majority of people working on Island earn #60,000k or less.
Majority of LASTMA, NEIGHBORHOOD WATCH, LRU, LASAMBUS Officials earn #60,000 or less.
If we move into other States, you will bow for Nigerians pic.twitter.com/b1aQvbN2CA

— Roland Greg (@RolanGreg) July 18, 2018
Did you say majority of Nigerians earns between 150-350k? Thats unfounded, majority of Nigerians are either jobless or earns between 15k-80k. The key word is “MAJORITY”
— #ReformSARS (@Ayoappeal) July 18, 2018
Y’all should kamdan. She said Nigerians… Not Nigerians in Nigeria….. So she def talking bout them Naija pple ‘in abroad’. Cos Naija wey me I know pple dey find work like diamond
— Comical Derskeal ??? (@Derskeal) July 18, 2018
So you are “in the abroad” and giving us demographics? This Nigeria you are talking about must be the one that has close borders with the USA. Not the one next to Chad, Cameroon, Benin Republic, Ghana and Niger.

I expected you to end it with ‘I just lied’

Which Nigeria? PMB’s Nigeria?
Then majority in Ekiti won’t vote for APC because of a ridiculous and savagery #5000. pic.twitter.com/O3TPqp7WRW
— The Publicman (@the_publicman) July 17, 2018
You make a rational point bar the “majority” tag. Most entry level employees are lucky if they make 60K a month. But yes your assertion is decent.
— Oluwemimo Adelugba (@Realest_African) July 17, 2018
Majority is taking it too far.
You forget that the north is 70% of nigeria.

You should do your research properly before coming online to say what you don’t know or what you think, it’s a very ignorant statement….?
