The Lagos State Environmental Sanitation Corps has uncovered another illegal settlement under the Osborne Bridge, Ikoyi.
The Commissioner for Lagos State Ministry of Environmental and Water Resources, Tokunbo Wahab, shared the video on his personal X page, saying that
immediate clearance of the illegal settlement has begun.
The Commissioner wrote, “Another illegal settlement was discovered under the Osborne Bridge, Ikoyi. Lagos State Environmental Sanitation Corps @LAGESCOfficial (KAI) commenced immediate clearance operation.”
Recall that the ministry on Wednesday announced that they discovered 86 partitioned rooms, sized 10×10 and 12×10, under the Dolphin Estate Bridge, Ikoyi, on Lagos Island, where the tenants were said to be paying N250,000 per annum for the makeshift apartment under the bridge.
