Photographers, videographers and other content creators in Delta State will have an opportunity to secure contracts paying up to N200,000 monthly through an upcoming creative industry event in Asaba.

According to The PUNCH, the organiser of the Delta Creators and Influencers Hangout, Henrietta Enwereaku, disclosed that successful participants could receive two-month contracts worth between N150,000 and N200,000 monthly.

The opportunity forms part of the event’s Creators Pitch initiative, designed to connect creative professionals with businesses seeking digital marketing and production services.

Creators to pitch ideas before businesses

Enwereaku explained that shortlisted participants would present proposals demonstrating how their skills could improve business visibility and customer engagement.

The proposals are expected to cover photography, videography, storytelling, social media marketing and other creative services.

“The idea is to connect both creators and businesses,” Enwereaku said.

She disclosed that participating businesses, including Seth and Family Pride, would assess the presentations and select suitable applicants.

Successful participants would sign agreements outlining their responsibilities, payment arrangements, expected deliverables and contract duration.

However, organisers have not announced the number of available contracts.

Event to support young content creators

Enwereaku explained that the initiative seeks to address challenges preventing young creatives from securing professional opportunities.

She identified limited access to equipment, professional networks and paying clients among the difficulties facing emerging content creators.

The second edition of the event, tagged DCIH 2.0, is scheduled for November 5, 2026, at Unity Hall, Government House, Asaba.

Attendance is free but requires registration.

Organisers are also seeking donations of cameras, laptops, smartphones and production accessories to support talented individuals who lack adequate equipment.

The initiative follows the first edition held in January 2025.

Organisers said contract extensions would depend on participants’ performance and agreements with the businesses involved.
