Ogun brothers arrested for gang-raping woman

The Ogun State Police Command has apprehended two brothers, Olamijuwon Noibi and Lukman Olatunbosun, on charges of gang rape in the Oke Eri area of Atan Ijebu, Ogun State.

The PUNCH reported that a reliable police source said Noibi deceitfully invited the victim, Aminat Yakub, to his apartment, where he allegedly sexually assaulted her with the assistance of his younger sibling, Olatunbosun.

Reports indicate that on Saturday, Noibi invited Yakub to visit his mother, but upon her arrival, she found his mother absent. Subsequently, he purportedly compelled her to consume an alcoholic beverage, ‘Bullet,’ and subjected her to physical assault before raping her.

Noibi is also alleged to have coerced his younger brother, Olatunbosun, at knifepoint to participate in the assault while recording the act.

Confirming the incident, the spokesperson for the Ogun Police Command, Omolola Odutola, stated that the suspects had been apprehended and would be transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department for a thorough investigation.

“On the 24th of April 2024, at about 13:00hrs, one Aminat Yakub ‘F,’ aged 21 years, of Main Estate Oke Eri Area, reported that on the 21st of April 2024, at about 12:30hrs, she went to the house of one Olamijuwon Noibi ‘M’ at Oke Eri upon his invitation to greet his mother. Upon arrival, she discovered his mother was not at home.

Juwon forcefully pushed her into his room, forced her to drink Black Bullet, and forcefully had sex with her twice after a severe beating. He later invited his younger brother, Lukman, to join in, and when his younger brother refused, he brandished a knife, threatening them both. Eventually, his younger brother engaged in sexual activity with her after a severe beating and recorded the act.

Upon receiving the complaint, a patrol team led by ASP Ayoola Alidu visited the scene and apprehended the two alleged suspects, Olamijuwon Noibi and Lukman Olatunbosun.”

The PPRO stated both suspects reportedly confessed to the crime, and the victim was taken to the General Hospital in Ijebu-Ode for examination.

The suspects will be transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department for further investigation.
