Naira abuse: Portable repents, begs EFCC against arrest
The famous musician Portable has begged the Economic Financial Crimes Commission not to arrest him for spraying money on his fans.
Portable said this via an Instagram live, stating that he does not spray money in the club or party. Instead, he sprays on his street, where they need the money.
The musician said, “ Please, I use my money to build love; I use my money to build relationships because of days when trouble comes.
“If I spray 100million within 2 minutes, 10,000 people will take it.
“I am not mutilating naira; if you see me spray money, please forgive me; money is my mantra; money is my security.
“After God na government, the people are controlling the government.
“Go and open the bank so we can send money to you if you want money.”
The EFCC recently sentenced Bobrisky to six months in prison with no fine option. Also, a female actress, Oluwadarasimi Omoseyin, was in February 2024 sentenced to six months in jail with the option to pay a N300,000 fine, and recently Chief Cubana priest was arrested for naira mutilation.
