‘Seeing Green’: Nicki Minaj, Lil Waye, Drake release new single
Trinidadian-born rapper, Onika Tanya Maraj-Petty, known professionally as Nicki Minaj, has dropped a new collaboration featuring her YMCMB partners Nicki Minaj and Drake.
The new song titled, ‘Seeing Green,’ is a special track off her classic mixtape Beam Me Up Scotty from 2009, her first-ever streaming release, to mark her return to social media.
The re-release of the tape also features 4 other new tracks/remixes, including “Fractions” and her remix of Skillibeng’s “Crocodile Teeth.”
According to HipHopNMore, Nicki had a treat for her fans as she went live with Drake on Instagram and almost crashed the platform.
Pitchfork reported that since dropping “Yikes” on February 7, 2020, Minaj has featured on several tracks. In May 2020, she hopped on Doja Cat’s “Say So” remix (which earned Nicki Minaj her first No. 1 single).
Since then, she’s appeared on 6ix9ine’s track “TROLLZ,” A$AP Ferg and MadeinTYO’s “Move Ya Hips,” Ty Dolla $ign’s “Expensive,” Mr Eazi and Major Lazer’s “Oh My Gawd” Sada Baby’s “Whole Lotta Choppas (Remix),” and Mike WiLL Made-It’s “What That Speed Bout?!,” alongside YoungBoy Never Broke Again.
The 38-year-old rapper dropped her most recent studio album, Queen, in 2018. Late last year, HBO announced a six-part documentary series about Nicki Minaj. A release date and title for the series have not yet been revealed.
