JUST IN: Buhari suspends plan to remove fuel subsidy
The President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd) has shelved the Federal Government’s plan to remove petroleum products’ subsidy until further notice.
Minister of State for Petroleum Resources Chief Timipre Sylva, made the disclosure on Tuesday at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
Sylva was quoted as saying that the executive will propose 18-month extension to the National Assembly for the implementation of the Petroleum Industry Act (PIA) meant to takeoff in February.
