Pastor Jimmy Odukoya, the senior pastor of The Fountain of Life Church, has revealed his wife, Pastor Mo Odukoya, to his congregation during a Sunday service, a day after teasing the news online.
The cleric had shared a photograph of two hands wearing rings on Saturday with the caption, “To New Beginnings,” sparking speculation about his relationship status .
During the service, Odukoya invited his new wife to the altar and shared their love story with the church.
“You know, the Bible said it is not good, it said I will find someone suitable. When Adam saw, he said this is the flesh of my flesh, bone of my bone. I was looking and searching, and I found,” he said.
“Some of you saw the post, some people said is it artwork, no it’s my wife; allow me to introduce to you for the first time, Pastor Mrs. Odukoya, a new first lady, my wife. Pastor Mo Odukoya” .
Pastor Tunde Bakare of The Citadel Global Community Church, who was present at the service, disclosed that the marriage blessing took place in the United States .
Bakare revealed that Mo is the daughter of Reverend Theophilus and Bolaji Daniel. She will now be known as Pastor Mo Odukoya .
The marriage marks a fresh start for Odukoya, who was previously married to Oluwakemi Sade Banjoko.
The former couple tied the knot in London in March 2013 and had two children together before their separation . Reports suggested the union ended around the time he took over leadership of his late father’s church, though neither party has publicly disclosed details of the split .
Odukoya succeeded his father, Pastor Taiwo Odukoya, as senior pastor of The Fountain of Life Church following his father’s passing in August 2023 . He is also known for his acting career, having starred as Oba Ade in the 2022 Hollywood film The Woman King alongside Viola Davis .
Since taking over the church, Odukoya has become known for his candid marriage and relationship messages, often drawing attention online for his advice on relationships and family life .
