Kebbi LG boss Muhammad Bello dies
The Kebbi State Government has reported the unexpected passing of Muhammad Bello, the chairman of Maiyama Local Government Area in the state, following an extended period of illness.
Ahmed Idris, the spokesperson for the state governor, issued a statement to the press on Thursday, conveying the unfortunate news. According to the statement, the deceased passed away earlier in the day, and his burial is scheduled for later.
The statement conveyed, “Regrettably, with a heavy heart, I announce the death of Hon. Zayyanu Muhammad Bello, Executive Chairman of Maiyama Local Government. He died early this morning at UDUTH Sokoto after a protracted illness.”
Additionally, the statement mentioned that details regarding the timing of the burial would be communicated to the public.
