Chairman of Nigerian Diaspora Commission, Abike Dabiri-Erewa is presently being scolded by social media users over her comment on the assault of a nursing mother by Senator Elisha Abbo.

WuzupNaija reports that the Senator was seen in a viral video assaulting the woman at a sex toy shop in Abuja and his action has sparked outrage on social media with many Nigerians calling for his arrest and prosecution.

Following the social media outrage, Dabiri had taken to Twitter to react to the incident and her comment seems not to sit well with many Nigerian social media users.

Many of those who lambasted Dabiri over her comment described her as a hypocrite who was silent when a member of his party the APC and Kano State Governor Abdullahi Ganduje was seen in several viral videos allegedly receiving bribes.

Some Twitter users also slammed her for attempting to politicise the incident instead of showing concern and empathy for the victim.
