Japanese actor Haruma Miura dies in suspected suicide
Japanese actor, Haruma Miura, was found dead in a suspected suicide.
The 30-year-old Japanese actor was found unresponsive on Saturday in his home in Tokyo.
He was rushed to hospital but was later pronounced dead. According to NHK News, Miura was discovered by his manager, who went to his home when the actor did not show up for work.
Tokyo Metropolitan Police are currently investigating his death, but believe his cause of death to be suicide.
Miura made his acting debut in 1997 in the TV drama Agri when he was seven years old, and joined dance teams Brash Brats and Amuse.
Ten years later, he was cast in the movie, Koizora, before later gaining attention in the third season of Gokusen, in which he played Ren Kazama.
In 2008, Miura landed the leading role of Fujimaru Takagi in the TV adaptation of the manga series Bloody Monday.
After getting leading roles in Tokyo Park and Five Minutes To Tomorrow on the big screen, he landed the role of Eren Yeager in the Attack On Titan film series, in which he starred alongside Queer Eye star Kiko Mizuhara.
His last film, Brave: Gunjō Senki, is set to be released in 2021, while Gift Of Fire, in which he had a leading role, has yet to be given a release date.
Miura’s final TV role in the TBS series Love Will Begin When Money End, which is set to begin later this year.
The actor received many accolades throughout his career, including two theatre awards for his role as Lola in Kinky Boots.
