Three teenagers in court for allegedly stealing designer pam slippers

The police charged Aliyu Bashir, Aliyu Kabir, and Umar Faruk with trespass, theft, and receiving stolen property.

The Prosecution Counsel, Mayowa Adefioye, told the court that the matter was reported at the Police Area Command by Musa Hamisu of Bako in Kwali Area Council, Abuja on Dec. 26, 2020.

Adefioye said the defendants broke into the complainant’s house on Christmas Day.

He said that during the investigation the defendants were reasonably suspected to have committed the offense.

He said that the offenses contravened the provisions of sections 344, 287, and 317 of the Penal Code.

The defendants, however, pleaded not guilty.

Chief Magistrate, Aliyu Shafa, admitted the defendants to bail in the sum of N50,000 each with one surety each in like sum.

Shafa ordered that the sureties must reside within the jurisdiction of the court.

He adjourned the case until Feb. 23, for a hearing.
