TAMPAN waited to suspend lyabo Ojo after Baba Ijesha’s bail – Mr Macaroni reacts
Instagram comedian and human rights activist, Debo Adebayo aka Mr. Macaroni, has expressed concerns over the timing of Iyabo Ojo’s ban by the Theatre Arts and Motion Pictures Practitioners Association of Nigeria.
TAMPAN had issued a directive in a statement on June 27 that the association’s directors has banned Iyabo Ojo and fellow actress, Nkechi Blessing, from participating in any role in the movie industry.
According to the leadership, the suspension was a result of their unruly behavior on social media.
On Monday, Mr. Macaroni stated in a tweet he shared on his page that the TAMPAN leaders waited to make the announcement after Baba Ijesha who was accused of raping a minor was granted bail.
He said; “TAMPAN suspends lyabo Ojo. Not only did they suspend her, but there was also a full press conference stating a million and one things she did wrong. Interesting how this is happening only after Baba Ijesha was granted bail. Really interesting”.
