Ritualists kill 80-year-old woman in Ondo, remove her breasts
An 80-year-old woman, Mrs Kajusola Mogaji, was on Friday killed by some unknown ritualists at Oke Agbe Akoko area in the Akoko North West Local Government Area of Ondo State.
The mother of five, who was described as a prominent member of an Anglican church in the area, was reportedly killed for ritual purpose by some unknown assailants.
Her head was said to have been smashed while her two breasts were removed by the fleeing killers.
It was gathered that the incident had increased the number of suspected ritual killings in Akoko area to six in recent time.
According to a source, the hoodlums sneaked into the room of the deceased in the night while her neighbours were not around and carried out the dastardly act.
The source said,
“The attackers came in the night when the co-tenants of the woman had travelled. The other neighbours woke up to see and greet her in the morning when they saw her in a pool of blood. They raised the alarm and shortly after, policemen came to remove her corpse.”
One of the daughters of the deceased, Mrs Kehinde Adewumi, who described the killing of her mother as wicked and gruesome, urged security agents to do thorough investigation to expose the killers.
The Police Public Relations Officer, Mr. Femi Joseph, confirmed the incident, adding that the command had commenced investigation into the matter.
