Police arrest kidnapper who came to abduct man in beer joint
The Niger State police command has arrested a member of a notorious kidnap syndicate who planned to abduct a man at a beer parlour.
The kidnappers numbering six had perfected the plan to kidnap one Abubakar Sule, a member of Fulani vigilante group, Kpada in a beer parlour but unknown to them, somebody had overheard them while they were speaking.
The informant gave the information to the Police who waited for them at their agreed point.

However, only one of the members was arrested as the others escaped upon sighting the Policemen, the Nation reports.
The arrested suspect, Ibrahim Bahago said that he never knew that somebody was listening to them when they were perfecting their plan to kidnap Sule.
“I never knew that some other persons were listening to our conversations and that was how I found myself in police net, it is unfortunate.”
The Police Public Relations Officer, Muhammad Abubakar said the suspect had confessed to the crime adding that the house of Bahago was searched and the operatives recovered one AK47 magazine with 60 rounds of live ammunitions, one sleeve shirt, two pullover shirts and one container of service oil.
He said the matter would be charged to court after investigation.
