KAA Gent and Nigerian forward Gift Orban has been nominated for the UEFA Europa Conference League Goal of the Week award for his stunning strike in the team’s 4-1 victory over Ukrainian side Zorya.

The Nigerian international scored the Buffalos’ third goal in the 55th minute, expertly controlling a pass from Senegal defender Noah Fadiga before slotting the ball home with a cool finish.

Orban’s goal was his fifth in just four appearances in the competition this season, making him the current leading scorer in the UEFA Europa Conference League.

The winner of the Goal of the Week award will be determined by fan voting. Fans can cast their votes on the UEFA Europa Conference League website.

Orban’s impressive performance against Zorya helped Gent secure their place in the knockout stage of the competition.

The Belgian Pro League side currently leads Group B with 13 points from five games.
