On the pill teenager wakes up to baby bump, births child 45 minutes later

18-year-old Emmalouise Leggate from Glasgow Scotland had been on pills only to wake up to a bulgy stomach and a baby after just 45 minutes of noticing the bulge.

The teenager, who went to bed with a ‘flat stomach’ was stunned when she woke up with a baby bump and went into labour few moments later.

Mirror UK reports that the now mother of two had no idea she was pregnant for the second time until she woke up with a baby bump.

Her grandmother, 63-year-old Louise Ford rushed her to the hospital but the labour happened so quickly that the young lady gave birth in the car park just 45 minutes after discovering the bump.

The stay-at-home mum claims she had no morning sickness or food cravings, never felt her daughter kick and put her absent periods down to being on the pill.

Doctors reportedly thought that Ciara Louise Lamont, now eight months old child, was full-term when she was born, and explained that her mother’s lack of bump was due to the baby being positioned near her lower back.

The baby was born happy and healthy, weighing 7lbs 12oz.

The new mum and her partner, Sean Lamont, 19, embraced becoming parents for the second time.

The young lady admitted that she was in shock after it had happened, saying:

“It didn’t feel real.

“I hadn’t taken a pregnancy test, I had no symptoms, nothing. Nothing at all.

“The doctors couldn’t explain why I didn’t have a bump. They just told me that the baby must have been sitting in my lower back and that it is quite common. It is really surprising.”
