Google restores eNaira Speed Wallet to Playstore 24hrs after disappearance
The Central Bank of Nigeria’s eNaira Speed Wallet mobile application has finally resurfaced on Google Playstore barely 24 hours after disappearing from the Appstore.
After the launch of the app on Monday, October 26, 2021, WuzupNigeria reported that there were numerous complaints from users who struggled to link their emails and BVNs.
However, after over 100,000 downloads, the app surprisingly disappeared from the application store.
Explaining the disappearance, CBN spokesperson, Mr Osita Nwanisobi told Nigerians that the app was undergoing an upgrade.
He said, “There is an upgrade going on at the moment by Google; try in the next few hours.”
The app which went missing Wednesday has now been restored around 1.00pm on Thursday.
Meanwhile, the app’s rating has risen from 1.9 (after 2,845 reviews) as of 12:47 on Wednesday to 3.1 (after 3,379 reviews) as of 09:26 pm on Thursday.
