My mum is the reason I didn’t join EndSARS protest – Burna Boy
Singer Burna Boy has said that at the beginning of the EndSARS protests, he was dealing with a personal family issue which involved his mum.
The singer has been getting dragged on social media for refusing to lead Nigerians in a protest against the government.
Explaining why he didn’t lend support, he said his mum had a surgery at the time and that he was focused on her recovery.
He tweeted:
“I was dealing with a personal family issue at the beginning of these protest. My mum had serious surgery last week. We were all invested in making sure she recovers. I am not about that “put it all out on social media” life. We decided the focus must solely be on these protests.”
