Hollywood ace, Will Smith, stunned guests at the 2022 Oscars when he ‘smacked’ comedian, Chris Rock, for making a joke about his wife, Jada Pinkett.
According to The U.S. Sun, Smith’s wife, Pinkett, has been struggling with hair loss for years, and last year decided to shave it all off, unlike G.I Jane actor, Demi Moore who famously shaved her head for her role in the 1997 movie
However, Rock who was on stage to present an Oscar for Best Documentary made a poorly-received joke over Pinkett’s look.
“Jada, I love you, G. I. Jane 2, can’t wait to see it,” Chris jeered.
In reaction, Pinkett’s furious husband, Smith, stormed the Oscar stage and slapped the ex-SNL comedian.
After the confrontation, Chris said: “Will Smith just smacked the s**t out of me.”
In response, a furious Smith yelled at the comedian: “Leave my wife’s name out of your f***ing mouth.”
According to a source, Rock’s joke “was not supposed to happen. “It was real.
“Someone who works for the Oscars told me that Chris Rock was not interrupted by Will Smith at rehearsals yesterday.”
However, Smith was said to have been consoled by his fellow celebrities, Tyler Perry and Sean Combs.
