The organisers of Big Brother Naija ‘Shine Ya Eye’ announced on Monday disclosed how much the reality television show cost them to host.

According to John Ugbe, Chief Executive Officer of MultiChoice Nigeria, owners of DSTV, the successful hosting of BBNaija gulped a whopping N4.3 billion ‘to make the show happen.’

Ugbe revealed this during the presentation of prize presentation to the Season 6 winner, WhiteMoney.

“We employed 12,000 persons for this show, it cost us N4,3billiom to air this show this year

“We use BBNaija to enrich lives and contribute positively to society. We hope to continue to do so.”

The organisers also revealed that one billion votes were recorded this year from the viewers.

Recall that Ebuka also announced that during the finale week, the show had over 300 million votes.
