Following the extension of the lockdown in Delta state, women in Sapele, a Delta community reportedly stormed the streets to protest the lockdown extension.
Recall that the governor of the state, Ifeanyi Okowa had announced a two-week extension of the lockdown in the state on Tuesday, April 14th.
As at the time of reportage, the state currently has three confirmed cases of COVID-19 with one death.
According to reports, the protesting women said they were hungry and didn’t have food to feed themselves or their family members.

They are demanding the state government to lift the ban on movement of restriction for them to about their businesses so they can provide for their families.
