Community Shield: Iheanacho’s late penalty hands Leicester 1-0 win over Man City
Nigeria’s Kelechi Iheanacho scored a late penalty to give Leicester City a 1-0 win over his former side, Manchester City in the Community Shield.
The FA Cup champions faced last season’s Premier League winners at the Wembley Stadium for the first trophy of the season.
Pep Guardiola handed £100m signing Jack Grealish his City debut as they dominated for the most part of the game, but Leicester were dangerous on the counter-attack.
Nathan Ake’s mis-control allowed Iheanacho a steal around the City box resulting to a penalty which the Nigerian converted in the 89th minute to give the Foxes the win.
