Buhari inaugurates three road projects in Kaduna

The President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd) on Thursday inaugurated three road projects in Kafanchan, the headquarters of Jema’a Local Government Area of Kaduna State.

Buhari arrived in Kaduna on Wednesday night for a two-day working visit having flown directly from Banjul, the capital of Gambia.

Recall that the president had attended the inauguration of President Adama Barrow’s second term in office.

Upon arrival in Kaduna, Buhari was received by Governor Nasir El-rufai before proceeding to inaugurate the projects under the governor’s Urban Renewal Program.

During the inauguration, Buhari applauded El-rufai for embarking on projects aimed at making Kaduna great again and pledged the Federal Government’s resolve to continue to initiate programmes that would impact the ordinary Nigerians.

According to El-rufai, a total of 21 roads are to be constructed in Kafanchan under the first phase of the Kaduna State Urban Renewal program.

Meanwhile, the Emir of Jama’a, Alh. Muhammadu Isa Muhammadu appealed to the President to use his exalted office in attracting more Federal Presence in Southern Kaduna, especially the reviving of the Kafanchan rail track and the siting of a permanent Mobile Base in Kafanchan.
