Buhari commiserates with Jonathan after Abuja accident killed aides

The President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari(retd) has commiserated with ex-President Goodluck Jonathan after losing two aides to a fatal accident in Abuja.

WuzupNigeria reported that two of Jonathan’s aides were killed on Wednesday after one of the cars in his convoy was involved in a collision.

Buhari’s condolence message was contained in a statement signed by Garba Shehu – Senior Special Assistant to the President (Media & Publicity) on Friday.

It read, “President Muhammadu Buhari commiserates with former President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan on the demise of his two personal staff in a road accident.

“President Buhari joined fellow countrymen in praying for the repose of the deceased aides of the former President and urged their families to see their demise as a sacrifice for the nation.

“The President expressed gratitude to Almighty God for having President Jonathan escape unhurt from the accident, urging him not to be distracted from his frequent local and international travels which are linked to peacebuilding at home and abroad.”
