WWE confirms stars arrival in Saudi Arabia ahead of Crown Jewel

WWE has confirmed that all its wrestlers scheduled to feature at Crown Jewel 2026 have arrived safely in Saudi Arabia, easing concerns surrounding the company’s decision to proceed with the major wrestling event amid heightened regional security tensions.

According to Bryan Alvarez of the Wrestling Observer, all personnel expected to participate in the show are now in the country, with no reported travel disruptions or security-related incidents.

Members of the Power Slap organisation, who have also been in Saudi Arabia throughout the week, are equally said to be safe, with no problems reported.

The development comes after questions emerged over WWE’s decision to maintain its plans for Crown Jewel despite security concerns linked to the Middle East. Reports of attacks by Iran-backed Houthi rebels on critical infrastructure in the region, including airports, had raised concerns about the safety of international travel and the potential risks facing performers and other members of the company’s travelling delegation.

TKO Chief Executive Officer Ari Emanuel had earlier disclosed that the organisation was closely monitoring developments before making a final decision on the event. Despite the concerns, WWE opted against cancelling the show but introduced changes to its original arrangements. One major adjustment involved relocating the event from the proposed outdoor Riyadh Season Stadium to the indoor ANB Arena in Riyadh.

Beyond the change of venue, WWE has also modified its broadcasting and production arrangements to reduce the number of personnel required to work directly from Saudi Arabia. Under the revised structure, a substantial portion of the event’s technical operations will be coordinated remotely from the company’s headquarters in Stamford, Connecticut.

Production and satellite trucks will be stationed at the Stamford facility, where key aspects of the broadcast will be managed. Although WWE is still deploying a sizeable production team to Riyadh, the number of staff travelling for the event will reportedly be lower than what is normally required for a major international show.

At the ANB Arena, the production crew will oversee essential operations, including camera work, audio management and other technical responsibilities. The footage and broadcast signals will subsequently be transmitted to the United States, allowing the production team at WWE Headquarters to supervise and coordinate much of the live coverage remotely.

The adjustments highlight the additional precautions WWE is implementing as it prepares for the event, particularly in response to the security situation surrounding the region. While the reported safe arrival of its performers provides some reassurance, broader concerns about regional stability remain.

Crown Jewel 2026 is scheduled to take place on November 7 at the ANB Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, with WWE maintaining its commitment to staging the event as originally planned.
