Read how Nigerian Chelsea stars, Moses and Mikel destroyed Algeria in Uyo

Chelsea’s pair of Victor Moses and Mikel Obi were on the scoresheet Saturday evening as the Super Eagles of Nigeria kept up with their superiority over the Desert Foxes of Algeria in a 2018 World Cup qualifying match.
Two goals by Moses, either side of Mikel’s beautiful strike settled it all for the Gernot Rohr-tutored Nigerian team at the Godswill Akpabio international stadium in Uyo.
Moses, who plays as a right full back in Chelsea’s new formation, was a thorn in the flesh for the Algerians who were occasionally dangerous with the forward dashing runs of Mahrez and Slimani and deservedly got the first goal for Nigeria in the 24th minute.

The Super Eagles of Nigeria.
And Mikel, in the 42th minute, off an Oghenekaro Etebo pass, sent the Algerian goalkeeper the wrong way to continue a cruise control for the home side.
The Alegerians’ forays forward would later yield something positive as a stunning 67th minute strike from outside tje box by Nabil Bentaleb began to unsettle the Nigerian side.
But, Moses, clelarly the man of the match, ensured total victory for the Rohr-led team exactly at the end of regulation time after being played through by second half substitute, Ahmed Musa.
Nigeria now comfortably top the group with six points as Cameroon also played out a one all draw against Zambia at home.
The next game is against Cameroon as Nigeria will look to build up on the momentum and cement their passage to the next phase of the competition as early as they can.
