Nollywood actress Doris Ogala has apologised to a Federal High Court in Lagos over her conduct during an earlier sitting of her ongoing cyberstalking and attempted extortion trial.
According to The PUNCH, the actress knelt before Justice Akintayo Aluko on Friday, October 30, 2026, expressing regret over the disruption of court proceedings on Wednesday.
Ogala, who is facing charges involving Pastor Chris Okafor, was returned to the Kirikiri Correctional Centre after the court reserved its ruling on her bail application.
Doris Ogala apologises over courtroom disruption
The actress acknowledged that her behaviour during the previous proceedings was inappropriate and promised not to repeat it.
“I am very sorry, my Lord. I apologise for my bad behaviour,” she said.
Justice Aluko expressed displeasure over the incident, explaining that Ogala’s shouting and singing had disrupted proceedings.
The judge disclosed that the disturbance prevented the court from hearing more than seven other cases.
He also indicated that he had considered contempt proceedings but decided against taking immediate action.
Court fixes November 6 for bail ruling
Ogala’s lawyer, Marshal Abubakar, apologised on her behalf and urged the court to grant her bail under reasonable conditions.
However, prosecution counsel Tolulope Mokolu requested restrictions that would prevent the actress from contacting witnesses or making social media publications capable of interfering with the trial.
After hearing both parties, Justice Aluko fixed November 6 for ruling on the application.
The actress was subsequently returned to custody.
Ogala pleaded not guilty to the three charges filed against her by the Office of the Attorney-General of the Federation.
