Ruth Kadiri to Buhari: Support Nigerians with cash, they will stay at home

Nollywood actress and producer, Ruth Kadiri Ezerike, has appealed to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to urgently address the worsening insecurity across the country, warning that Nigerians are becoming increasingly unsafe in their homes and communities.

The actress made the statement on social media while reacting to public outrage over the killing of a school teacher by suspected bandits in Oyo State.

Expressing frustration over the recurring attacks and loss of innocent lives, Kadiri urged the Federal Government to intensify security efforts or allow citizens to defend themselves against criminal elements threatening lives and property.

“This is not propaganda! This is not your enemies trying to make you look bad. And even if they were, You can’t leave your house on fire. Dear president Tinubu, please do something… Or give us the go-ahead to protect our lives and properties,” she wrote.

Kadiri further lamented the growing fear among Nigerians, stating that the continued wave of violence has left many citizens feeling vulnerable despite being in their own communities.
