Veteran Nigerian singer Innocent Idibia, popularly known as 2Baba, has told fans that he has stopped impregnating women, saying he is now determined to correct public perception about his personal life.
The music star made the statement in Benin City during the MC EdoPikin Undiluted with StarBoy and Legends show, moments before he went on stage to perform.
Speaking directly to the audience in Pidgin English, the singer said he now makes the confession wherever he goes.
“But see, I get confession. I dey make this confession everywhere I go now to set the record straight. I don stop to dey do that kind of thing. I don stop to dey give belle anyhow. I swear, ask anybody now, they will tell you that I’m innocent,” he said.
2Baba has for years been in the spotlight over his relationships with multiple women and having children outside marriage, a situation that has often generated debate on social media and in the entertainment space.
His first publicly known relationship was with Sumbo Adeoye, with whom he has two sons, Zion and Nino. The relationship ended around 2009 after reports of his involvement with other women.
He later had three children with another partner, Pero Adeniyi, between 2006 and 2012.
With his former wife, actress Annie Macaulay-Idibia, the singer has two daughters. The couple got married in 2012, but their marriage reportedly ended in divorce in 2025 after years of public ups and downs.
More recently, 2Baba welcomed a child with his new partner, Natasha Osawaru. The relationship has continued to attract attention, especially following reports surrounding a controversial marriage.
