Former Nigerian Vice President Atiku Abubakar has expressed his support for the Super Falcons as they gear up for the final match of the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations.
The Nigerian team is set to take on host nation Morocco at the Olympic Stadium in Rabat on Saturday, July 26, 2025.
Taking to his X (formerly Twitter) account, Atiku conveyed his well-wishes to the team, stating, “Wishing our @NGSuper_Falcons a superb outing in today’s finals with their Moroccan counterpart. I will be watching. What about you?”
He also encouraged his followers to tune in and support the team, indicating his personal interest in watching the high-stakes match.
This show of support follows similar gestures from other prominent Nigerian figures, including President Bola Tinubu, First Lady Oluremi Tinubu, and Peter Obi, the 2023 Labour Party presidential candidate.
These leaders have all rallied behind the Super Falcons, urging the team to give their best performance and bring the trophy home.
