Nigerian entrepreneur and clergywoman, Sunmbo Adeoye has called on more men to support single mothers by marrying them.

In a social media post, she wrote “Single motherhood is not a life-threatening disease. You don’t become unfortunate for loving and supporting her to raise her children.”

Sunmbo, who is known for her past relationship with popular singer Innocent Idibia, also known as 2Baba, where she had two children, has always spoken out to encourage single mothers.

Despite her past, she found love again with Pastor David Adeoye, the General Overseer of Royalty Christian Centre in Lagos.

Their marriage, now over 10 years strong, faced significant opposition due to her status as a single mother.

Sunmbo shared her thoughts on social media, aiming to uplift single parents who desire a fresh start. “I just felt the need to encourage a single parent out here who desires a fresh start,” she said. “If that person approaching you is judging you by the label, he/she doesn’t deserve to marry you.”

She also advised “Dear single parents, don’t be too bothered about the one that will be a parent, friend, mentor to your kids. God who knows the end from the very beginning has a supernatural already has a supernatural arrangement planned bout and he will send the one in due season.”

Sunmbo credits her husband as her greatest mentor, saying that he has played a crucial role in helping her become a better person.

Despite the challenges they faced, their love and commitment to each other have grown stronger, and they now have two children together.
