I may never recover from my son’s death, Blessing CEO mourns

Controversial relationship therapist and social media personality, Blessing Okoro, better known as Blessing CEO, has expressed deep sorrow over the death of her nine-year-old son, Bryan, admitting that the tragedy may leave her emotionally scarred for the rest of her life.

The influencer shared her grief in an emotional tribute posted on her Instagram page on Sunday, recalling the promises she made to her son but was unable to fulfil before his passing.

“I will keep living in denial. I miss you. I bought the iPad I promised you, and also the bicycle,” she wrote.

“This is how I will forever remember you.”

Blessing also expressed her belief that her son is now in heaven, promising to keep his memory alive wherever life takes her.

“I know you are in Heaven, but I promise to carry your memories everywhere I go. I miss you, my baby; I will never recover from this shock. Rest on my guardian angel,” she added.

Her latest tribute comes days after she spoke publicly about Bryan’s death during an interview conducted following her release from detention, where she had spent several months.

During the interview, Blessing disclosed that her son had suffered from chronic asthma since birth, a condition that frequently required medical attention and resulted in several hospital visits. She also revealed that while she was in custody, she received information that Bryan was managing the condition with two inhalers.

According to her account, she was informed that the nine-year-old died in the hospital at approximately 6:30 a.m. on a Monday.

The relationship therapist further recounted an unsettling experience involving her son’s reported dream about his own death before he passed away on June 8. She said Bryan had shared the dream with some members of the family, although he never discussed it with her directly.

“When my son was alive, he dreamt that he died. He told his brother Darell and my sister Precious, who prayed for him. He also told my Dad, but he never told me,” she said.

Meanwhile, Blessing CEO regained her freedom on October 24 after being granted bail, following months of detention at Kirikiri Prison over separate allegations of fraud.
