Ex-PTF director Hassan Mu’azu dies after protracted illness
A former Director of Finance of the defunct Petroleum Trust Fund, Alhaji Hassan Mu’azu, has died in the early hours of Monday after a protracted illness.
Muazu passed away at the age of 83 at the Garkuwa Hospital in Kaduna State, according to his son, Ibrahim, who added that his father had long been bedridden.
The Nation quoted Ibrahim as saying, “My father died at Garkuwa Hospital after he was rushed to the hospital following his deteriorating condition.
“When we observed that he was finding difficulty to breathe on Sunday around 11pm, we immediately took him to the hospital at and was put on oxygen.
“He was beginning to respond with some elements of recovery until past 5am when we got a call that he has given the ghost.”
Late Mu’azu has since been committed to mother earth at the Ungwar Sarki cemetery according to Islamic injunctions.
He is survived by four children, brothers and sisters.
