In a video making the rounds online, a young girl simply identified as Mmesoma, has been nabbed after she gave a baby bleach to drink.
Bleach is the generic name for any chemical product that is used industrially and domestically to remove color from fabric or fibre or to clean or to remove stains in a process called bleaching.
It often refers, specifically, to a dilute solution of sodium hypochlorite, also called “liquid bleach”.
Mmesoma confessed that she was promised N20,000 by one Chisom to carry out the act.
According to her, Chisom vowed to give her the money once the baby is confirmed dead.
While confessing that this was her first time of committing such act, Mmesoma denied doing same to other babies placed in her care in the past.
She also pleaded for mercy after acknowledging that she is acquainted with the baby’s mother.
