EFCC parades 13 ‘yahoo boys’ in Abuja
Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission on Thursday paraded 13 cybercrime suspects better known as ‘Yahoo Boys’ after their arrest from various hideouts in Abuja.
The PUNCH reported that five of the suspects were picked up at an N8 million-a-year apartment in Gilmore Estate, Jahi, while eight others were arrested at Katampe Extension, all in Abuja.
EFCC spokesman, Wilson Uwujaren in a statement titled, ‘EFCC bursts a syndicate of 13 cybercrime suspects in Abuja,’ said the breakthrough followed actionable intelligence on their alleged criminal enterprise.
“Incriminating items recovered from them include iPhones, laptops, gaming consoles, Toyota Avalon and a Lexus SUV.
‘’The suspects have given valuable information and will be charged to court as soon as investigations are concluded,’’ it read.
