The 2016 Headies awards went down at the at the Eko Convention Centre, Eko Hotels & Suites, yesterday.
Though there was palpable anticipation and excitement before the event, there was a very low turnout of celebrities.
Though the organisers put up a good show, many of the nominees and awardees didn’t show up at all. Fans also complained about slips like poor picture quality for those watching on TV, wrong spellings and some other things.
Here are some of the comments made by Nigerians during and after the show.

Wizkid has just dropped his Daddy Yo song at the same time the Headies is going on. So petty ?

After headies 2015 I knew the credibility of the Headies is to be question, I thought headies needs time to restructure for a come back.

#headies2016: The Headies shouldn't even rent any venue next year. Let them just deliver the awards to the winners via Konga!!!

Next #headies should be done virtually whilst winners receive their prizes via jumia. We enjoyed it better online #headies2016
