The wife of Mr. Terwase Orbunde, former Chief of Staff to former Governor Samuel Ortom, Mrs. Abigail Orbunde, and her maid, Patience Ogute, have been freed from captivity.

Last Friday, armed men suspected to be herders attacked Mr. Orbunde, his wife, and maid at his farm along Mobile Barracks-Welfare Quarters Road on the outskirts of Makurdi.

The assailants shot the former Chief of Staff in the arm and abducted his wife and maid. Subsequently, a demand for N100 million ransom was made for their release.
