We musn’t abandon our girls, FFK calls on the Nigerian government to quickly rescue stranded ladies in Lebanon (Video)
A video making rounds on social media show a group of Nigerian ladies stranded in Lebanon, crying out for help to return home.
The ladies who were about 20 in number, passionately appealed for help to return home after saying they regret going to Lebanon.
They called on the Nigerian government and well-meaning Nigerians to come to their aid and help them return home.
Reacting to the video via his Twitter handle, former Aviation Minister, Femi Fani-Kayode, called on the Nigerian government to act fast to rescue the stranded ladies
”This is sad &unfortunate. I guess not everyone will have a good sallah. Whatever they may have done wrong these are OUR people. These are OUR girls. These are OUR compatriots. These are Nigerians. We cannot abandon them. We cannot turn a blind eye to this.
I have forwarded this video to the FG, Presidency,First Lady Aisha Buhari, Speaker of the House Femi Gbajabiamila, Min. of Aviation Hadi Sirika, & Min. of Foreign Affairs Geoffery Onyeama for N/A. I appeal to them & President Buhari, in the name of God & humanity, to help them out & bring our girls home
I appeal to them to wipe away our tears &put an end to this national shame & disgrace.First our people are sold into slavery in Libya &it is shown on CNN. Now our girls are caught in the evil web of human trafficking &are stranded in Lebanon &it is shown on LondonRealTV.
The whole world views these two powerful media mediums and are laughing at us. Please let us do something to salvage the situation and regain our honor. These are OUR girls: we cannot and must not abandon them. Barka da sallah.” he tweeted
