Truth always triumphs, Suspended NPA MD says in Eid-el-Fitr message
Suspended Managing Director of the Nigerian Ports Authority, Hadiza Bala Usman on Thursday says she is confident that the truth would always prevail.
Usman who is currently being investigated over the alleged non-remittance of N165 billion to the Consolidated Revenue Fund account (CFR) made the disclosure on Thursday in her first public appearance since her suspension on Friday.
The suspended NPA boss who paid a visit to the Emir of Zazzau as they celebrate this year’s Eid Mubarak, alongside Governor Nasir El-Rufai noted that she remains resolute about the truth.
Usman who is currently under probe by a panel set up by the Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi, to check contracts that NPA awarded under her watch has denied the allegation of alleged misappropriation of revenue under her management.
Meanwhile, Usman who served as Chief of Staff to El-Rufai has pledged allegiance to the Kaduna governor, describing him as her “forever boss” in the Twitter post which had a photograph of the duo sharing smiles.
The tweet read: “Eid Mubarak….Taqabbalallāhu minnā wa minkum” May Allah accept [good deeds] from you and us.”
“At the place of the Emir of Zazzau with my forever Boss @elrufai. We remain resolute in the believe {belief} that the truth always triumphs…Allah’s protection and guidance always.”
