Sex Shop Assault: I’ll give a robust response soon, Senator Elisha Abbo says
Following the outrage generated by a viral video where Nigeria’s youngest Senator Elisha Abbo was seen assaulting a nursing mother at a sex toy shop in Abuja, the lawmaker has broken his silence on the issue.
The lawmaker who represents Adamawa North senatorial district said the incident portrayed in the video showing him beating up a lady occurred in March 2019.
Abbo said this in a brief chat with The Punch correspondent on Tuesday while responding to a question on the assault.
He, however, said he was putting a team together and he would give a robust response soon.
Abbo said,
“Hello Eniola, I saw your message and I am aware of the report. I am putting my team together. I am aware that the thing happened around March this year but I will get in touch with you when we finish discussion. I am in a meeting now.”
Abbo had attracted criticisms from Nigerians who have taken to social media to lambaste him for his action and also call for his prosecution.
